At Discount Printing Detroit, our standard-size postcards are engineered using commercial-grade cardstocks that offer a rigid, premium feel and flawless ink saturation. Top rated business printing!

We don't offer thin, flimsy paper variants—every postcard layout is produced to meet a rigorous professional benchmark, ensuring your brand, event, or product is represented with maximum visual clarity.

Select Your Perfect Size & Configuration:

Our standard postcard suite is designed to accommodate multiple commercial applications, from compact product box inserts to high-energy street marketing layouts:

  • 4"x6" Postcards: The undisputed industry standard for promotional mailers, corporate handouts, and counter displays.

  • 4.25"x5.5" Postcards: The perfect quarter-page flyer size, ideal for trade show handouts, event schedules, and corporate invitations.

  • 4"x4" Postcards: A modern, symmetrical square layout that cuts through traditional visual noise—excellent for artistic branding, retail tags, and social media handouts.

  • 3"x6" & 3"x5" Postcards: Sleek, elongated dimensions that fit perfectly into standard envelopes, ideal for custom vouchers, bookmark inserts, or specialized product coupons.

Premium Cardstocks & Coating Technologies

Tailor your print run to your exact distribution methods with our targeted material options:

  • 14pt Cardstock: A thick, robust, heavy-weight cardstock built for exceptional durability. Available in single-sided (1 Sided) or double-sided (2 Sided) full-color layouts.

  • 12pt C1S (Coated One Side): A specialty stock featuring a smooth glossy finish on the front for vibrant artwork, while leaving the reverse side completely uncoated—the optimal choice for hand-written notes, custom forms, or stamped text.

  • High-Gloss UV Coating: An ultra-reflective, durable mirror finish that enhances color depth, crispness, and scratch resistance. Perfect for high-contrast graphics, night club flyers, and heavy-use handouts. (Please note: Available on offset production runs over 500 pieces; not applicable for digital rush runs).

  • Aqueous Coating: A clean, water-based layer providing a subtle, elegant low-gloss sheen. Prevents fingerprints and smudging while maintaining a sophisticated, corporate aesthetic.

File Upload & Art Setup Requirements

To ensure a seamless, razor-sharp final print, please verify that your artwork adheres to our automated production standards:

  • Resolution Check: All embedded images, logos, and raster layers must be set to a minimum of 300 DPI to avoid blurriness.

  • Bleed Configuration: Your design file must include a 1/8-inch (0.125") background bleed extending past the final trim line to ensure clean, edge-to-edge printing without white slivers.

  • Safe Margin: Keep all critical text, contact info, and logos at least 1/8-inch inside the cut line.

  • File Upload Guide: You can upload your high-resolution front and back PDFs directly through our secure interface.

We combine the ease of 24/7 online configuration with regional, personalized logistics. Your production clock begins immediately once print-ready artwork is approved:

Command the Room with Custom Oversized Postcard Printing

When standard marketing dimensions aren't enough to capture the scope of your message, oversized postcards deliver the massive visual footprint your business demands. At Discount Printing Detroit, we specialize in high-impact, full-color oversized printing designed to command immediate attention the second it lands in a mailbox, onto a trade show display table, or into a client's hands.

Built exclusively on rigid, commercial-grade heavy cardstocks, our oversized cards ensure that your graphics remain razor-sharp, your text stays legible, and your brand radiates premium authority.

High-Impact Dimensions for Diverse Commercial Uses:

Our selection of oversized dimensions bridges the gap between traditional direct mail and structural B2B marketing collateral:

  • 6"x9" & 4"x11" Postcards: Massive, high-visibility real estate that dominates traditional mailboxes. These configurations are highly effective for corporate marketing sweeps and industrial product announcements.

  • 5"x7" Postcards: A classic, upscale canvas favored for high-end corporate invitations, premium gallery announcements, and VIP event promotions.

  • 8.5"x5.5" Postcards: Exactly half the size of a standard letter sheet, making this layout the gold standard for dense technical datasheets, schematics, showroom product inserts, and quick-reference guides.

  • 4"x9" Postcards: The standard dimensions for commercial rack cards, fitting seamlessly into tourism kiosk displays, restaurant countertop inserts, and promotional presentation folder sets.

Premium Material Engineering & Finishing Options

Tailor your print run to your exact distribution style and structural requirements:

  • 14pt Cardstock: Our heavy-duty, ultra-rigid industry benchmark. Built to survive rigorous handling, automated postal machinery, and high-volume distributions. Available in full-color single-sided (1 Sided) or double-sided (2 Sided) options.

  • 12pt C1S & C2S Coated Stocks: Tailored for precise short-run digital and offset printing applications. Our short-run digital options under 500 pieces are produced on premium 12pt C2S (Coated 2 Sides) stock for clean, immediate turnaround times.

  • High-Gloss UV Coating: An ultra-reflective, durable protective layer cured with ultraviolet light. Yields a magnificent mirror finish that dramatically intensifies dense ink saturation and photographic depth. (Please note: Available on offset production runs of 500 pieces or more; digital short-runs cannot accept UV coating).

  • Aqueous Coating: A water-based protective seal providing a clean, subtle, low-gloss sheen. Prevents fingerprint smudges and superficial scuffing while giving your marketing pieces a polished, corporate aesthetic.

Secure File Upload & Prep Requirements

To avoid automated production holds and guarantee a flawless print finish, please prepare your artwork to match our commercial system standards:

  • Resolution Rule: All embedded photography, logo assets, and layout files must be exported at a crisp 300 DPI. Low-resolution web graphics will appear blurry when printed.

  • Background Bleed: Ensure your file includes a mandatory 1/8-inch (0.125") bleed extending past the final trim edges. This prevents unsightly white border lines during high-speed cutting.

  • Safety Margin: Keep all essential copy, logos, and call-to-actions at least 1/8-inch inside the final cut lines.

  • Artwork Submission: Upload your print-ready front and back PDFs directly using our secure portal during configuration.

Local Production Timelines & Free Metro Delivery

We marry robust online e-commerce convenience with localized regional logistics. Production times begin seamlessly upon the confirmation of your print-ready artwork:

  • Standard 14pt Cardstock Production: Completed and packaged in 5–6 business days.

  • Specialty 12pt Cardstock Production: Completed and packaged in 6–7 business days.

  • Free Tri-County Shipping: Skip national shipping delays. We provide FREE local delivery directly to commercial facilities, retail hubs, and corporate offices across many areas of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties—including Royal Oak, Troy, Warren, Sterling Heights, St. Clair Shores, Southfield, Eastpoint, Clinton Township, and downtown Detroit.

  • Nationwide Shipping: For our nationwide clients and businesses located outside our designated local delivery paths, we offer fast, reliable shipping choices handled securely through FedEx or UPS.
